Sorry about the lack of posts! Preparing for the HomeGrown Fair at the ECR House&Garden Show has been hectic! Here's a few pics of what we did! I am really chuffed with it! Our new furniture range has finally made it out of the factory! Yippee!

Been working on wooden key rings and brooches since our ceramic tag range came out more than a year ago but there has always been something that had to be changed! Finally got these back, would have been awesome having them ready for Madiba Day but now they'll have be a show special! Eventually they will be key rings ..... Got the idea for the packaging from an etsy site, they used old matchbox covers to display their covered buttons in, so changed it up a bit to suit ikhaya! Thanks for all your help Oums....

.....it's show time

Can't believe it's already time for the ECR House&Garden show! Terry has done a really amazing job recruiting local crafties and artists to take part in the Homegrown section. The Food Market and the award winning Kirstenbosh Flower show will definitely be an added attraction this year! Pop round for a look see and maybe a bit of shopping, starts this Friday!

PS These are the new swing tags that I made specially for the show...way more work that originally estimated!

I had the pleasure of meeting the fabulous Durban designer, Colleen Eitzen! I have always been a huge fan! Simply have to buy her dresses, it's more than just a "look", you just feel instantly fab when you put them one! Love the strelitzia of course.....

go baby .....

baby made the 1st team hockey! He's so happy with himself! Had their first game today which they won 4-0 and he scored a goal so it was just the perfect day to him! I love how such simple things can make kids so happy..... we sure can learn a thing or two from them!

The latest server that we custom made for a client..... I love the mix of the plywood and jacaranda. Nev (my Nev, not Nev the barber) did a fab job! I love the shadow line!

I can hardly contain myself! Studio Violet prints and postcards have arrived! They should be in store this weekend, Nevin is busy with the frames! Can't wait to see them in the shop!

This is my latest favourite. First Edition print 1973 called "Contemplation".Beautiful block prints and words by Gwen Frostic. Can't believe I actually found a copy! It's kind of an "early green" book, a warning to take note of the damage that we do to our planet!  The pages have beautiful frayed red edges!

Kudu.....

These are hand made out of old taxi parts! We used to have quite a few of them but the crafter was from Zim and never used to stay long! These should be in store again soon! This time I will definitely keep one for myself! They are really amazing!

Bought these two pieces for my art wall from MOYO. I have no idea who the artist is but I am mad about them! I love going to MOYO, there is just something about it that I realy enjoy, not quite sure what it is..... will have to go back again to investigate further!
